I wish to share with all how we shall eat to build up a balance digestive system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The patient in this case study is 40-year old guy who wish to improve the health, hence he started to change the diet habit and pick a 816 fasting method as well as drinking green apple cider vinegar with an empty stomach in the morning. Two months later, his stomach has become more sensitive. Referring this case study, he has by chance taken sour and spicy taste food, which consists of a bowl of curry noodles and a cup of milk tea at lunch time, a plate of spaghetti and a glass of lemon juice at dinner time. As a result, he starts seeing severe symptoms after half an hour such as acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux, heart burn, frequent belching and heaty throat. After five hour later, he starts seeing vomit cum diarrhoea and nearly admitted ICU.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Question: The key point is how shall we eat to build up a healthy body?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">We ought to <strong>understand the differences of \u201cacid dietary\u201d and \u201calkaline dietary\u201d. Normal blood pH level in human body is ranging between 7.2-7.4, belonging to slight alkaline level.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Most people have misunderstood, thinking that the sour taste food is categorized as \u201cacidic food\u201d. In this case study, the patient planned drinking apple cider vinegar with an empty stomach every morning. Or sometimes, in our diet, we take some sour taste fruits such as lemon, kiwi, green apple, pineapple etc. <strong>In fact, the pH level of the food is not merely base on the taste of the food itself.<\/strong> Fruit contains variety organic acid, when the fruit is digested, the chemical reactions happen in our body, an ash residue is left behind, known as metabolic waste and will be discarded from the body soon. Hence, the fruit is not an \u201cacidic food\u201d as the mineral in the fruit has been oxidized as \u201calkalinity food\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The measurement of whether it is \u201cacidic food\u201d or \u201calkaline food\u201d base on the components of either acidic or alkalinity. Of course, it depends on the category of mineral and the ratio portion of mineral. The acidic components consist of phosphorus, chloride and sulphur. This is one of the slimming schemes which change the \u2018timing\u2019 of food intake. Concurrently, the \u2018portion\u2019 of intaking food remains unchanged, so the participant need not cut off the portion of intaken food. The concept of 816 means we take three meals within 8 hours as per normal portion, 16 hours use for fasting. During fasting period, we are allowed to drink liquid juice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Base on the case study, the dietary of the patient has caused the weakening of the digestive system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Firstly, the patient has been belching for past a year before he encountered this issue. By having the apple cider vinegar with an empty stomach in the past two months, the membrane layer of the stomach has been worn out. Consequently, the symptoms like gastroesophageal reflux, frequent belching, acid reflux and heaty throat appear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Secondly, the patient taken food within 8 hours, he chose the timing from 12noon till 8pm. He skips his breakfast indirectly. From the perspective of TCM theory, the best time for digestive system is from 7-11am. Due to long hours fasting, which are 16 hours, the inflammation occurred in the stomach, so the intaken food like protein and carbohydrate will be digested in an acidic environment. The acidic effect has caused a conditioned reflex, where the acid started to flow out from stomach, cardia to esophagus and all the way up to the throat. It causes heaty in the throat and frequent belching. The indigestion caused the food be vomited. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/indigestion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Indigestion issue<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and bowel movement which is not smooth can also cause a lose stool or more serious case, become diarrhoea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">As per recommendation, the patient has been advised to have three meals per day including breakfast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13387\" src=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/%E6%97%A9%E9%A4%90.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Besides, we ask him to stop consuming apple cider vinegar with an empty stomach in the morning. If he wish to have it, the apple cider vinegar should be mixed with enough sugar (honey or brown sugar), to reduce the acidic damage on the stomach outer layer.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-13390\" src=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/3604605-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">He must also stop cold food, fried food and spicy food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13392\" src=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Picture1-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1157\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Picture1-1.png 1157w, https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Picture1-1-980x236.png 980w, https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Picture1-1-480x116.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1157px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">Eventually, for the second visit, all the symptoms that had been mentioned have been mitigated including acid reflux, belching, vomit and diarrhoea.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #800000;\"><strong>\u3010Summarize\u3011<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #800000;\"><strong>A Balance Diet between acidic food and alkaline food <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">1. <strong>Eat more alkaline foods<\/strong>, such as vegetables, fruits and beans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">2. <strong>Do not drink acidic beverages and cold beverages on an empty stomach<\/strong>, such as lemonade, various fruit vinegars, and vegetable juices containing cold and cool vegetables.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">As mentioned in the above medical case, the patient drank apple cider vinegar in the morning on an empty stomach for 2 consecutive months, which resulted in the symptoms of acid reflux, frequent hiccups, pantothenic acid, and burning throat.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">In order to lose weight, many girls drink a glass of lemon juice on an empty stomach in the morning, which is one of the reasons for the disharmony of the spleen and stomach and various problems in the body.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">If you want to drink it, be sure to add an appropriate amount of sugar (honey\/brown sugar) to avoid adding to the burden on the stomach.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">3. <strong>Try to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a regular basis, without skipping it completely or overeating.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">4. <strong>Reduce intake of cold, spicy, fried and spicy foods.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article is created due to the case study I encountered for the digestive system issue.
