It often manifests as sudden, intense joint pain that typically occurs at night. The affected joint becomes painful, swollen, red, and inflamed. The pain gradually subsides and can last for several days to weeks. Gout can affect individuals of all ages, but it is more prevalent in men, with a male-to-female ratio of approximately 20:1.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 23px; color: #800000;\">Contraindications for gout<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">1) Foods high in purines to be avoided include:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-20453\" src=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/%E9%AB%98%E5%98%8C%E5%91%A4-1024x550.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"275\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>(1) Organ meats, <\/strong>such as: liver intestines, kidneys and brains.<br \/>\n<strong>(2) Seafood,<\/strong>such as: abalone, crab, lobster, salmon, sardines, tuna, carp, sea bass, trout, and cod.<br \/>\n<strong>(3) Shellfish, <\/strong>such as: clams, oysters, mussels, scallops, and snails.<br \/>\n<strong>(4) Legumes and vegetables, <\/strong>such as: soy beans, lentils, seaweed, mushrooms, etc , all of which contain higher levels of purines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>2) Avoid alcohol:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20457\" src=\"https:\/\/vstcm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/no-alcohol-1024x972.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"229\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Alcohol consumption, especially beer and spirits, should be avoided as it can lead to the accumulation of lactic acid in the body, inhibit uric acid excretion, and increase the risk of gout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">3) Avoid acidic foods, fried foods, and high-fat foods:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; Drinking plenty of water can increase urine production, allowing uric acid to be excreted through urine and thereby reducing gout-related issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">5) Medication treatment:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">This includes both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. Medications should be taken under the guidance of a medical professional and should not be used blindly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">6) Other therapies:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Acupuncture, massage, physiotherapy, and topical applications can have some therapeutic and pain-relieving effects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">The above methods are primarily for temporary relief or mild gout symptoms.
