Dampness (TCM Theory)
因于湿,首如裹,湿热不攘,大筋软短,小筋弛长,软短为拘,弛长为痿。
《素问·生气通天论》

The qi and blood can’t reach and moisturize, causing the tendons to lose their homes, either for weakness and anxiousness, or for relaxation and dysfunction, which manifests as a limb movement disorder.

It means that dampness hurts people, and the lower part is most likely to be hurt. This is because the formation of dampness is often related to the steaming of moisture on the ground, so its wounds usually start from below the abdomen or limbs.
The six evils originate from the six qi of nature.
areWind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and heat.
Under normal circumstances, the six qi composes nature.
The human body also has six qi, if the six qi is too strong, it will become “six evils”.
“Dampness evil” is lingering and likes to appear at the same time with other evil spirits “companion”.

Chest tightness, abdominal distension, poor appetite, and decreased appetite; often have light mouth, sticky mouth, dull mouth, thirsty but do not want to drink, fatigue, fatigue, bowel movements, etc.

Moisture (prevention method)
1. Dietary conditioning
Diet therapy: You can choose raw and cooked barley, yam, red bean, tuckahoe, atractylodes, pumpkin, etc. to make porridge or soup, which can diuresis and dehumidification, and is especially effective for people with edema.
The best way to protect the stomach and intestines is to eat a light, moderate, and balanced diet.

It is best to add green onions, ginger, and garlic in cooking vegetables to reduce the coldness of vegetables. It is not only a household seasoning, but also a balanced diet.

2. Avoid humidity in the living environment

3. Exercise
Exercise sweating is a good dehumidification;
Especially don’t turn on the air conditioner or fan after sweating. The sweat in your body must come out, otherwise your moisture will be too heavy and you will catch a cold.
It is very beneficial to the body to adhere to a moderate amount of exercise every day. Exercise can relieve stress, activate the functioning of body organs, and accelerate the excretion of moisture from the body.
Modern people use more brains, less physical exertion, plus long-term expectation in airtight air-conditioning, seldom sweat, and the body’s ability to regulate humidity deteriorates.
