The patient is a lecturer and busy at work. Last year in the month of June 2022, she had an infection due to Covid-19. She had the syndromes of fever, rising blood pressure, headache, heavy cough and stomach ache. Because the condition is quite serious so decide to admit into the hospital.

The patient elaborated: “hi TCM Practitioner, I was admitted to hospital in June of last year. Ever since the following 2 months after infection of Covid-19 virus, I felt bad. I had a series of fever sequelae syndromes. I had insomnia. I also had emotional changes such as anxiety, got frightened easily and to a certain extent, my body started to tremble. I recalled that I refrained to hear loud voice that time and have no interest in society communication with people.” Due to the constant body heat, the patient went for a body check-up at Gynaecology. Her menstruation period has stopped since a year ago, so the gynaecologist diagnosed that her problem was related to menopause syndromes.

Last year in the month of November of 2022, the patient had undergone a hiatal hernia operation; the palpitation has reduced much after the operation. The patient felt that her overall syndromes keep recurring and the digestive system has getting worse for past one month.

The patient said again: “I have bloated stomach after meal as well as regurgitation, sensation of energy rising from stomach up to the throat. Besides, I also have reflux and heart burn issue. I feel the taste of sour liquid in my throat and mouth. My back muscles and lower limbs are tightening. My stool is hard and bowel movement is not smooth at all. I do not know what happened to me?”

We started to prescribe the herbal medication for her.

Her sleep has getting better. Her anxiety problem had also decreasing gradually. She told: “I found myself get hungry easily and had a trembling hand. Every time after I finished my meal for about 5 minutes to an hour, I felt the energy rising from stomach upwards, resulting in the bloated face. Seem like wind inside my face. Same things happened when I go for bowel motion, causing the energy rising upwards to the face.”

We continued the herbal prescription for her.

2023, 02 Sept, third visit:

On her third visit, the patient told us that most of the conditions improved.

I asked: “How do you do?”

The patient answered: “After meal or if I ate certain kind of food which makes me feel stomach sensitive, it started to bloat. Today, I feel my anxiety reduced much, as I could drive my car to work now. ”

We felt happy for her. As we understood, the miserable emotion haunted her for past three weeks, if she could drive to work individually, it had implicated a new journey milestone is awaiting her ahead.
